There's good news, and bad news about this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . The good news is that it has a manny tranny, you can do the ECU reflash to bump the horsepower up to 305 HP without worrying about voiding the warranty.

The bad news is that it has some crash damage. And it already has a salvage title, presumably from previous crash damage, after which it was acquired at auction. And it has 188,000 miles.

Other than that, I'm sure it's perfectly fine.

Warranty on a 14 year old car? lol

Also gonna need A LOT more than a simple reflash to get 305 hp, the 1.8t only has 180hp stock. Even if it was the 225 hp edition (it's not) a chip wouldn't get close to 305.

Also Haldex quattro is not true quattro. This was last year at the Audi day on Georgetown Lake ice.

Yeah, I was thinking of the 2.oT with the KN-01 turbo.

Also, the the fact that it was already out of warranty was kind of the point .

The 2.0t won't see 300+ hp with just a chip either.

Dude, that is a dyno graph for a flashed Golf R , not even the same engine as a B7 A4 2.0T or TT 2.0t as it has a K04 turbo stock. That's also a dyno graph taken directly from APR's web site. I'm sure they have nothing to gain by inflating the numbers some.

This one is also a from APR's site, on a stock turbo and 93 octane:

You're right. I'm thinking of the TTS with the 265-hp 2.0 TFSI. Which is the same engine and turbo as the Golf R.

Yeah and has about a $45-50k price difference from the TT in the OP.

Aww....

A faux-wheel-drive new Beetle.

More appropriately, the reason the new beetle will never have 4-motion.

I am glad the cars have depreciated, but the Bauhaus styling hasn't stayed as timeless as some would have liked... it looks fairly dated, in addition to looking less than gracefully aged.

My brother is a new beetle fan, and would probably love this... until it came time to actually work on the thing... and it likely will need work at this age.
